Beginners Summer Teen Camp

Have You Ever Wanted To Make Your Own Movie?

Now you can with the Blue Ridge Motion Pictures Summer Teen Filmmaking Program. This is your opportunity to start learning the creative and technical process of moviemaking while having a whole lot of fun with some great new friends. The intensive three week program(s) provide a practical foundation for filmmaking skills and culminates with students completing a short movie project on digital video. Students take full responsibility for their movie as they write the script, prepare storyboards, shoot, direct and then edit the footage into a completed project.

This is the perfect opportunity for future Spielberg’s to jump start their filmmaking career!

Tuition includes use of equipment, a lunch daily and a copy of the completed movie on DVD!

There will be a movie premier held in the Blue Ridge Motion Pictures Screening Room after each program.

Course Description:
In the Teen Camp for Beginners, students will complete a 5 minute short movie. They will learn the basic skills of filmmaking from developing a concept to completion while obtaining a hands-on overview of scriptwriting, storyboards, camera operation, composition and editing.

Mon. – Thurs. 10am - 4pm
Movie Premiere: June 28 @ 7pm
